IT'S RAINIIIING!!

So I made a quick stop at Best Buy after work and was there for about 10 minutes. Went in, grabbed what I wanted and left. As I'm walking out the store, a crowd has gathered by the entrance. Why may you ask? BECAUSE IT WAS RAINING OUTSIDE! I will admit that it was pouring, but no one wanted to get wet. Ok ok, I was one of them. What is it about the rain we are so afraid of? It always reminds me of when I was working in NYC. When it rains in NYC, people are prepared, well not prepared just not stressed or freaked out. A co-worker and I had lunch plans on a day that it was raining. I walked to her office, as she's putting on her rain boots (huh, people really do that?) and said, "You ready?" and I was like, "Oh, we're still going? It's raining outside" She just gave me that "cricket noise look" and I told her, "Look, you don't understand. L.A. people don't handle the rain to well. Shit, if we get home and forget something in the car, we don't dare go out to grab it. We just wait until we have to go back into the car!" She just started laughing and I was being serious about not going outside! Just like a my fellow best buyians. We all just stood there staring at the rain. A few brave souls took the plunge and ran for it. People sighed and whispered, "I'm not going out there" oh wait, that was me.
